Ketchup is the king of sauces. The word "Ketchup" was adopted from Chinese (ke-tsiap) that means a "marinade for fish or shellfish". The Chinese name came to England at the end of XVI century, but only 1711 it gained the meaning "tomato sauce". The eastern seasoning quickly conquered popularity in the whole world.
